Temporary Office/Administrative/Mail Clerk - 3pm -11:30 pm in Louisville, Kentucky

 Our client, a fortune 500 company, is seeking a Mail Clerk for about 4 months.  The compensation is up to $8 an hour plus benefits. Typical hours will be 3pm-11:30pm or till you finish. Finish times could be earlier and all depending on volume. It could be as early as 10/10:30pm or as late as 11:45pm or so.
 
Candidates will be working on requests received from the adjustments department. You will print out the request and work to resolve it. Part of this will include knowing how to research debits and credits and so knowing how they interact is a must. This will also include having to use word and excel so experience with these programs is important as well. Then the second part of the position would be working in the receiving area where you will be taking items out of proof bags and boxing up. For this the candidate will need to be able to lift boxes of 5-7lbs and this will be a standard part of their day.
Other functions include sorting checks, keeping payroll records, taking inventory, and distributing mail. Act as an information and communication distributor for an office. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities. Compute, record and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems. Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience. High School Diploma or equivalent typically required. Entry level to 2 years administrative/customer service related experience required Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage ones time. Ability to keep information organized and confidential. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (May be required)
