The Account Specialist (AS)

is responsible for providing customer services and account management support to Donans sales and customer experience efforts.The AS works directly with Donans clients to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.The position requires a high amount of time making outbound calls to existing and prospective clients in an effort to drive both new sales and high levels of customer satisfaction.The AS will help support the field sales team in their efforts to grow revenue growth throughout the Donan footprint.The AS will help in identifying opportunities with clients by researching client trends per service line, supporting strategies put in place by Account Executive/Account Manager and uncovering leads to grow market share.The position reports to Donans Associate Director of Sales.

  • Assumes direct sales and account management responsibilities for a large pool of existing clients across all Donan services lines to enhance account penetration.
  • Collaborates with the Donan Account Executives and Account Managers to develop client specific plans and protocols that outline their responsibilities on a per customer basis.
  • Works to qualify and score new/prospective leads before moving them along to the appropriate Donan Account Manager or Account Executive.Constantly communicates with clients and prospective clients to drive satisfaction and identify growth opportunities across all service lines.
  • Performs follow-up calls on completed Donan projects to help ensure satisfaction levels, identify concerns, and to pinpoint cross-selling opportunities.
  • Works with the Donan Account Executive team and the Donan Account Manager team to drive selling opportunities throughout all Donan service lines.
  • Sells and provides service to targeted client segments across all Donan service lines for both existing customers and prospective new customers to generate opportunities for repeat business.
  • Coordinates and follows-up on all customer inquiries as they relate to new business or expansion of current needs.
  • Uses Donans CRM to identify selling opportunities for growth within assigned accounts.
  • Maintains and updates customer records within our CRM system to ensure accurate client records through proactive contacting of our client database.
  • Collaborates across departments to identify solutions to client inquiries and complaints.
  • Schedules qualified sales meetings with appropriate Donan account executives/managers in the field.
  • Conducts virtual sales meetings to demonstrate Donans breadth of services to new and existing clients in support of our field team.
  • Provides scheduling support for our field sales team on appointments with clients and prospective clients.
  • Identify potential customers through LinkedIn Navigator and Data.com and provide viable leads to Account Manager or Executive Account Managers.
  • Maintains and update National Account Triage Documents and update internally and communicate with these changes with the entire firm
  • Enter projects into Donans systems and external systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly performance meets baseline standards for role (Quality & Quantity).
  • Gather data and provide reports to both internal and external customers
  • Handle all internal and external communication (customer and employee) with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Partner with Donan Marketing Department on how marketing strategies relates to particular customers
  • Participate in tradeshows and conferences to gain visibility with customers.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred, but will consider various disciplines along with relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience selling in a virtual/inside environment or relevant client account management.
  • Upbeat, charismatic, high energy, results-driven personality with a proven track record of exceeding goals and targets.
  • Must have strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be highly organized and results oriented.
  • Able to work cross departmentally.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record that meets company standards.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% annually in support of sales and marketing events.
  • Strong overall computer skills with experience in Salesforce.com environment considered a plus.
  • Ability to effectively work autonomously during times of limited supervision.
