Pacino is a ten-year-old cat who came to the Kentucky Humane Society in desperate need of help. Poor Pacino was abandoned by his family when they moved and took all their belongings, everything except Pacino. Left to fend for himself, the sweet older cat was bullied relentlessly by neighborhood strays. He eventually ended up in a bad fight with another cat, a fight in which he did not win. Pacino ended up with horrific bite wounds to his neck and head that were badly infected, his ear was left dangling from his head and through it all- Pacino did nothing but purr and thank us for our help. Pacino has spent a lot of time with us healing and is now ready for his fresh start in life. He's a happy cat who loves people and would make a wonderful companion. Pacino has tested positive for FIV or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and while that may sound scary- it's really not! Cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives with regular veterinary care. I came to the Kentucky Humane Society because my owner could no longer care for me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
I'm a member for the Have a Heart Club. I am FIV positive. While there is no cure, I can still live a long and happy life.
