Pete (Main Campus) American Pit Bull Terrier Young Male in Louisville, Kentucky

My story
Pete appears to be a lovable, goofy, eight-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He weighs over 40 pounds and came to the Kentucky Humane Society from an overcrowded shelter. Pete is a recent arrival to KHS, so we don't know how he acts around cats or children. But his seriously silly overbite gives him a lot of charm! Pete seems to enjoy the dog greetings he has had here at KHS. Like all puppies, Pete is still learning manners and will need to continue positive training in his new home. You can't tell from his happy face, but Pete has been through a lot of change recently! Between transports, vet care, and now living in a shelter...it can be very stressful. Shelter animals like Pete will need time to decompress in a new home. His new family will need to show extra patience and ensure that all introductions (with kiddos and furry family members) are slow and positive. Meet and greets prior to adoption are always encouraged! Pete is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots. Are you the one this goober has been looking for?I came to the Kentucky Humane Society from another shelter. The staff are still learning all about me. I miss being in a home and have a lot of love to give.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pete (Main Campus), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
